Interview with Chris Jasper From Isley Jasper Isley (Former From The Isley Brothers )

Once again I had the pleasure of interviewing Chris Jasper about his latest material and also other material that was due out this summer 2018.  I always enjoy talking to Chris as he has a calm, assured, passion for life, for music and for love and an insightful wisdom that I always like to drawn upon.

His new Single "The Love That You Give"  is once again a beautiful ballad of all the things that love should be.  It was so nice to hear Chris share about the love and connection he has for his wife, who has greatly influenced all his music.

As you know Chris is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, who was an integral member of THE ISLEY BROTHERS during the 1970s and 1980s—their gold and platinum years—from the 3+3 (1973) to Between the Sheets (1983) albums.

In 1984, Chris, Marvin and Ernie formed Isley-Jasper-Isley, a self-produced, self-contained trio, with Chris as the lead singer of the group, continuing his role as the primary songwriter, producer and arranger.

In 1987, Isley-Jasper-Isley disbanded and Chris embarked on a solo career. Chris formed his record label, Gold City Records, and released two albums as a CBS-associated label. Visit his website for further details:

Also I had interviewed Chris the end of last year about his two remixes from his then current CD "Share With Me" which has done incredibly well in the UK and also "That's What Love Can Do" which was the most recent single, and "I Love You" was the previous single.

That's what Love Can Do

I Love You

During the interview I had to bring up about the  relevancy of Chris' interpretation of love, today and it was reassuring to know that there is still a body of music out there that still talks about the values of true love and which still manages to capture the lure, the passion and the warm fuzzyness of true love.

Each ballad has a beautiful mesmerising tonality, a tonic for the mind heart and soul.

I'm a romantic at heart, as you may have guessed.

I hope you enjoy the interview and Chris' latest music.
