EAG December Newsletter – A Great Time, A Yummy Time, The Season is Ripe for Success

Greetings Everyone

Well, it's that time of the year again.  How time flies as they say.  So much has happened, so much still to come and the bridge in between all this is the learning from it all, wouldn't you say?

Once again this monthly newsletter is to bring you lots of great news which will hopefully inspire and galvanise you to follow your dreams, deal with your 'stuff,' transform it, shift it, get support to do this and basically for you to find out what is your WHY? so that you can then embrace and learn to enjoy life as much as you can.  I have a motto of late and that is 'it's not easy but it's possible.' This refers to life, to creating your dreams, the road to success.  Success means different things to different people, however anything worth having means you got to put in the work and sacrifice.

Esther Austin Global is in a very strong place now.  With messages of HOPE and YES YOU CAN, I have created several wonderful platforms to spread that message.

This year more than others, I've experienced a few health challenges.  At one stage I thought I was going to have to unscrew my legs, soak them in oil overnight then screw them back on again.  However, for the most part my achilles heel is learning to take rest and last week my left leg gave out on me.  Ah ha will I listen now?  I certainly did.  So in betwen taking antibiotics for something else, which spins my head like nothing, and getting lots of rest (and lots of cuddles from hubby) I'm repairing slowly but surely.  And this is another gift of wisdom I would like to present to you, the gift of listening to your body, honoring your body and taking action.  Otherwise, it will go and do what it NEEDS to do in order to maintain itself.

The theme for this issue was: Champions of Change with the discussion around what is it you're prepared to stand for?  The magazine is going from strength to strength, giving individuals the chance to share their stories, in the hope that they will inspire someone out there.  I was asked if I only interview Celebrity or legendary artists, I said no, I interview ordinary people who have chosen to create an extra-ordinary experience and life.  Anyone with a message that can inspire and empower someone else's life.  However, I have been blessed to have access to a plethora of legendary old skool/motown artists who openly and authentically share their journey.  Oftentimes, they performed under the most difficult of circumstances, sometimes just because of the colour of their skin and yet because they stood on a platform of strong principles and values, they did what they had to do.  These artists were very clear about their purpose, understanding that they were blessed with gifts to share.

In the last issue which was published in October, I had the pleasure to interview Florence LaRue from The 5th Dimension.  What a lovely, lovely soul.  Her passion was to simply reach out and touch peoples lives with her music and she was clearly doing that.  Here she shares about a young girl who had been at her concert and how afterwards when she went down to shake hands with the crowd this young girl reached out to her about her experience with abuse.  John Wilson from legendary group Sly, Slick and Wicked shares some very powerful experiences of being 'down south,' and talks about his links with Barry White and The Jackson family, Gregg Austin is another artist who has taken Vegas by storm.  He worked in the Post Office until he decided he wanted to sing, just like Sonny Turner from The Platters and he hasn't looked back since.  Other powerful interviews with Mary Maycock a breast cancer survivor, and Karen Burke from The Mind, Body, Therapy Centre in London and our very own Mr TopHat Tony Jazz who writes the Fine Dining Section of the Magazine and more....  Briefs about contributors and interviewees can be found at: https://estheraustinglobal.com/turningpoint-magazine-your-lifestyle-your-well-being/

Why not subscribe to the online, digital version of the magazine and get three copies as a bundle, making an incredible saving: https://issuu.com/store/publishers/estheraustinglobal/issues/turningpoint-october-final_final_fi

Martha Reeves and The Vandellas are back in town.  Whoop Whoop, and I certainly will be one to be 'dancing in the streets.'  I had the distinct privilege of interviewing Martha last week.  For the most part we laughed and giggled throughout the interview.  What a strong, powerful woman.  Someone who clearly knows her mind and who she is.  Here is link to interview.  https://estheraustinglobal.com/interview-with-martha-reeves-about-life-music-and-her-uk-tour-november-30th-to-14th-december-2018

Who remembers The Osmonds?  I had the privilege of interviewing Jay Osmond about his up-coming Christmas tour with brother Merrill and their  February gig @ The Union Chapel, Islington, London  on 21st Feb 2019. What a pleasantly grounded, happy individual with a joy for who he is now and his faith.   https://estheraustinglobal.com/esther-interviews-jay-osmond-from-the-osmonds-union-chapel-london-21st-feb

Also, better late than never, I conducted a wonderful interview with Brian McFadden (originally from Westlife) last month.  Yes, he is much younger than people I usually interview, however, what a lovely man.  Chilled, down-to-earth and certainly someone who has learned from life's experiences and who knows how to process them and embed them into his life. He is on tour next year with his tribute to Otis Redding. Click here for

Remember Jackie Wilson?  Well interview with his son Bobby Wilson coming soon.

As well as interview with Gerald Alston from The Manhattans and much more......
Keep checking in at Esther Austin Global for more news........

This year the challenges I've experienced have pushed me more and more to dig deep within my own heart and soul, to find solutions.  Each time I've allowed myself to step back briefly to question 'What do I do now?'  I've then pulled tools from my Mary Poppins Life Experience Toolkit to help me manage, cope and deal with whatever needed to be dealt with.  Such experiences have honed me and strengthened me, enabling me to have a deeper and richer understanding of who I had become in the midst of the challenges.  Exercise has always been my go to place when challenged and music.  I do yoga and HIIT Yoga.  I sometimes run.  I do a lot of walking.  These are some of the tools I personally use to help me manage life's sometimes precarious moments.

I hope you enjoy this video with all its tips and tools and fun moments.  My trek through the desert was a momentous time.  I encourage you to find your personal space, look inside your own Mary Poppins toolkit and see if what you have in there still works for you or is it time to find new ways of managing and coping with life.

As the year draws to an end I guess the norm would be to sit back and think about life and reflect etc.  Maybe you would like insight into where you are going, things you would like to let go in your life, guidance on how to move forward or to recognise any blocks that may be holding you back.
